Studie: OpenStack als Basis für offene Cloud-Architekturen

Die Cloud-Adaption in Deutschland nimmt immer weiter zu. Über 85 Prozent der deutschen Unternehmen beschäftigen sich aktiv mit der Cloud. Mehr als ein Viertel der Unternehmen setzen Cloud-Services bereits als festen Bestandteil im Rahmen ihrer IT-Strategie ein.

Deutschland ist ein Open-Source-Land. Für rund 80 Prozent der deutschen Unternehmen haben Open-Source-Technologien eine große Bedeutung und sind ein zentraler Bestandteil der eigenen Cloud-Strategie.

OpenStack erobert Deutschland. Knapp Dreiviertel der deutschen Unternehmen die sich mit Cloud Computing beschäftigen planen heute oder zukünftig den Einsatz von OpenStack oder haben die Open Source Cloud-Infrastruktur-software bereits im Einsatz.

Make or Buy? – Etwa 60 Prozent der befragten deutschen Unternehmen mit Cloud-Hintergrund beziehen OpenStack-Distributionen eines Herstellers und entscheiden sich gegen eine Individuallösung.

OpenStack dient zugleich als Basis und auch als Treiber für weitere Open-Source-Technologien. Unternehmen beschäftigen sich aktiv vor allem mit Open-Source-basierten Container-Technologien, PaaS und Serverless Infrastructure und planen diese zukünftig im Rahmen ihrer Cloud-Strategie einzusetzen.
