Das openQRM Team hat die neue Version von openQRM in der Version 4.8 fertiggestellt. Darin sind viele neue Funktionen enthalten, welche die Automation von Rechenzentren erleichtert. Dazu gehören unter anderem:

  • Ein „Remote VM Console“ Plugin, um mittels eines Webbrowser auf die Konsole der virtuellen Maschine zu gelangen.
  • Unterstützung der Virtualisierungstechnologie OpenVZ.
  • „Live-Migration“ von virtuellen Maschinen die auf KVM, Xen und OpenVZ basieren.
  • Für das automatisierte VLAN Management von virtuellen Maschinen wird nun Open vSwitch eingesetzt.
  • Update des Nagios Plugin und Integration von Icinga. Beides führt zu einer einfacheren Konfiguration und Überwachung durch Management Systeme.
  • Die Integration des „DRBD MC“ Plugins führt zu einer einfacheren Einrichtung von Hochverfügbarkeitsdiensten (Pacemaker/Corosync/Heartbeat) und integriert Linbit’s DRBD Management Console.
